Biography
Genu Berlo is a Romanian-American artist, who lives and works in New York City and Bucharest. He was born in Bucharest in 1975. His studies include fine arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC, architecture and mathematics at the University of Bucharest. For over a decade he worked as design architect for NYC architectural firms, including Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.
Since 2012, Genu Berlo has been painting in his own artist studio in Bucharest. His work has been the subject of solo shows and group exhibitions at galleries such as VIMANA, Palatul Brancovenesc Mogosoaia, Atelier030202, Galeriile Grumazescu, Galateca, Contempora and Orion in Bucharest and other Romanian cities, and the National Museum of Maps in Bucharest, and can be found in private collections in US, Canada, Europe, Switzerland, Romania, Australia and Japan.
