Biography
Genu Berlo is an American artist of Romanian heritage. Since 2012 he has been practicing in his own artist studio in Bucharest, and occasionally New York City. Upon his arrival in NYC in 2000, and for about a decade, he worked as design architect for small and big NYC architectural firms, while his enthusiasm tilted towards painting. His work has been presented in solo shows and group exhibitions at local galleries including
palazzo Vimana, Palatul Brancovenesc Mogoșoaia, Atelier030202, Galeriile Grumazescu and Orion, in Bucharest and other Rumanian cities, and museums such as the Inbe Art Space Museum, Yoshinogawa, Japan,
Art Museum Casa Simian, Râmnicu Vâlcea,
Municipal Museum Regina Maria, Iași, National Museum of Maps in Bucharest or The Clock Museum Nicolae Simache, Ploiești.
