POST EDEN ART OF LIVING

group show at Contempora
curated by Corina Laura Nae
March 2018

Collage, monoprint, metallic gold and silver leaf, crayon, coloured pencil, ink, print reproductions of original gouache and watercolour paintings, paper, wood and craft tubes. The theme of the exhibition is the art of living after Eden, the project being a collaboration with ElenaBerlo. The exhibit is reconstructing on a sensorial level two well known archetypes, Adam and Eve and The Garden of Eden, Gan Eden גַּן עֵדֶן in Aramaic, Hebrew. At the base there are two flights: one is the flight from yourself, represented by the tree of the knowledge, and the second is the desire to return, or to find yourself, symbolized by the Garden and the Tree of Life. The collages are using various process and materials from the natural wood, fabric, watercolors, oils and paper, to synthetic, the man made plastic, acrylics and metal.
